How to Set Fire to a Small Building, Safely
How to Set Fire to a Small Building, Safely is a series of 16 recollection-images that chronicle my reproductive health troubles over the last two years published in an edition of five handmade books on mitsumata paper via Palladium-toned Kallitype prints. The series works through personal memory as a way to interpret systems of access around the body, sex, and reproductive healthcare in an effort to invite audiences to feel with me.
Each print and book will vary in tone and visible brushstroke due to the alternative printing process of Kallitype which renders each print unique from the next. How to Set Fire to a Small Building, Safely book is made from 4x5 inch camera negatives printed on 5x7 inch paper.
